Question : Working in a restaurant where animals are not slaughtered according to Islamic way

I have a question regarding working in a restaurant.
I work in a restaurant called McDonald in USA. I work in lunch time. In lunch time all kind of food is beef and chicken. i mean 98% is beef and chicken. those beef a and chicken are slaughtered in USA. so it is not slaughtered in the way that we Muslim do. so my question is if I work there my income will be halal.

প্রশ্ন : আসসালামু আলাইকুম, গুগল সার্চে বিভিন্ন ওয়েবসাইটে হারাম খাদ্যের তালিকায় VANILLA EXTRACT পেয়েছি। এখন আপনার কাছে জানতে চাচ্ছি, আমরা কাপ আইসক্রিম বলে যেগুলো চিনি সেগুলোতে ইনগ্রেডিএন্ট্স হিসেবে ভ্যানিলা থাকে। এগুলো কি হারাম হবে?

ভ্যানিলা কী?

ভ্যানিলা এক প্রকার স্বাদ যা ভ্যানিলা জাতের সবুজ উদ্ভিদ হতে প্রস্তুত করা হয়। পরে বিভিন্ন ধাপে পরিশোধন প্রক্রিয়া সমাপ্ত করে তাতে বিশেষ এক রকম স্বাদ ও ঘ্রাণ আনয়ণ করা হয়। ভ্যানিলা উদ্ভিদের দানা থেকে প্রাকৃতিক ভ্যানিলিন নি:সরণ করে বানানো হয় ভ্যানিলা ফ্ল্যাভার।

ভ্যানিলা দানা গুড়ো করে তাতে এ্যালকোহল মিশ্রণ করে বা মিশ্রণ ছাড়াই তৈরি হয় ভ্যানিলা এক্সট্রাক্ট ও ভ্যানিলা ফ্ল্যাভার। প্রসেসিং ছাড়া ভ্যানিলা উদ্ভিদে সেই পরিচিত ভ্যানিলিন স্বাদ ও ঘ্রাণ থাকে না। সাধারণত ভ্যানিলা স্বাদের সব খাদ্য দ্রব্যে এ্যালকোহল মিশ্রিত ভ্যানিলা ফ্ল্যাভার দেয়া থাকে। এ্যালকোহল ছাড়া ন্যাচারাল ভ্যানিলা দামে খুব বেশি হওয়ায় তা সর্ব সাধারণের ব্যবহারের বাইরেই থাকে।

স্বাভাবিক ভাবে Vanilla, Pure Vanilla, Natural Vanilla, Vanilla Flavor, Vanilla Flavoring, Vanilla Powder, Vanilla Specks and Vanilla Extract -এই সবগুলোই এ্যালকোহল মিশ্রিত থাকে। (muslimconsumergroup.com)

ইউ এস ফুড এন্ড ড্রাগ এ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশন FDA –এর বেধে দেয়া নিয়মানুসারে কমপক্ষে ৩৫% এ্যালকোহল মিশ্রিত ভ্যানিলাকে খাদ্যদ্রব্যের উপাদান হিসেবে উল্লেখ করতে vanilla extract লিখতে হবে। ৩৫% এর কম যে কোনো পরিমাণের এ্যালকোহল মিশ্রিত ভ্যানিলাকে উল্লেখ করতে ‘Vanilla Flavor’ লিখতে হবে। (muslimconsumergroup.com)

প্রশ্ন : অপবিত্র (জুনুবী) অবস্থায় মহিলারা রান্না করতে পারবেন কি?

প্রশ্ন : আসসালামু আলাইকুম। আমাদের এখানে প্রচলিত আছে যে, নাপাক অবস্থায় (গোসল ফরয হওয়া অবস্থায়/ জুনুবী অবস্থায়) মহিলারা কিছু রাঁধতে পারেন না। এর কতটুকু ভিত্তি আছে জানতে চাই।

উত্তর : ওয়ালাইকুম আসসালাম। রাসূল স. হাদীসে অপবিত্র/জুনুবী অবস্থায় কেবল চারটি কাজ নিষেধ করেছেন।

১. নামায
২. তাওয়াফ
৩. মসজিদে অবস্থান
৪. কুরআন তেলাওয়াত ও স্পর্শকরণ

প্রশ্ন : বে-নামাজীর হাতের রান্না খাবার খাওয়া কি বৈধ?

প্রশ্ন : আসসালামু আলাইকুম। আমাদের এখানে লোকমুখে প্রচলিত যে, বে-নামাজীর হাতের রান্না খেলে গোনাহ হয়। এটা কতটুকু সঠিক?

উত্তর : ওয়ালাইকুম আসসালাম। এটি একটি ভ্রান্ত ধারণা। নবীজী স. মুশরিকের হাতের রান্না খেয়েছেন। তিনি ইহুদী এক নারীর দাওয়াত কবুল করেছিলেন। কাজেই এতে কোনো গোনাহ নেই।

তবে, সেই বে-নামাজী ব্যক্তিকে উপদেশ দেয়া যেতে পারে। এবং নামাজ ছাড়ার গোনাহ ও ভয়াবহতা সম্পর্কে তাকে অবহিত করা যেতে পারে।

Ques: A brother this weekend mentioned a thing, that amazed me. He said something like: “A person who [usually] eats at Hotels and Restaurants does not count as a reliable witness in Hanafi Madhab!” So, what’s the reality behind this statement, if there’s any?

Hadith about four animal parts

Ques: A brother found this version of a famous hadith: take note of the position of the square bracket:

“Two types of dead meat and two types of blood have been made lawful for your consumption [without being slaughtered]: fish and locust, liver and spleen“.
(Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Majah)

So, I’ve the impression there is a misunderstanding by who put the brackest:

I had understood this hadith as stating that for each of the two general prohibitions (that of dead animal meat, and that of blood consumption) there are two exceptions:
-fish and locust are the exception to the consumption of dead animal meat (so it’s not necessary to slaughter fish and locustes, but they can be eaten also if found dead), and
-liver and spleen are the exception to the prohibition of blood consumption (not the exception to the necessity of the animal being islamically slaughtered).
